ha ha--it's supossed to be hard of seeing

The Brain and I have noticed lately (in the past few weeks or so since it’s gotten warmer) that  there are an INORDINATE amount of flies in Ridgely’s. I mean, seriously. It’s disgusting.

Sure, the dead rats in the street are breeding flies–that’s a given. And I’m sure that all of you residents who continue to put out your garbage in bags instead of the closed garbage cans (which draw rats), which are then ripped open by assorted creatures, welcome the hordes of flies into the neighborhood.

But I noticed as I was walking down the street to my humble abode that there are just swarms of flies..well, flying! Everywhere! Even without the presence of dead things or garbage to lure them in.

What gives? It makes me think that maybe Ridgely’s was built on some sacrosanct Indian Burial ground, and that the flies are a curse of the dead. You know, like in those horror movies that always have flies as a precurser to really bad evil things about to happen? Yeah–creepy.
